Mike McShane

Mike has had a long and rewarding career in insurance, having worked in the industry since leaving school. He started what was to become a lifelong career after choosing to join Sun Alliance immediately after leaving school. Learning a lot and enjoying it along the way, Mike has worked in all facets of the insurance industry including claims, Life Insurance and for the national industry association, NIBA.

With a solid reputation and vast experience under his belt Mike took on the role of Manager of the OAMPS Melbourne Office and then moved on to manage the Tasmanian office. Throughout this time Mike proved himself to be an exceptional manager who was able to create a high performance culture as well as manage numerous large accounts at the same time.

Mike started his own business in 1999, McShane Business Services, which he grew remarkably over eight years and then merged with Don McLardy & Associates in 2007 to create McLardy McShane Insurance & Financial Services. 

A professional in every sense, Mike has maintained a large book of clients all of which attest to his comprehensive knowledge and commitment to seeing their business succeed. Although he is an expert in all areas of insurance, Mike has developed a specialisation in the mobile plant, cranes, earthmover and trades insurance.

Mike is looking forward to growing McLardy McShane as a member and shareholder of the Steadfast Group and developing a reputation for being a ‘one stop shop’ for all of your business’s financial services needs.

 
Also a passionate Demons supporter, Mike loves fishing and taking his three daughters and wife, Christine, to Byron Bay each year for some family time out.
